Don’t have six figures but still want to be bougie on a budget?
Have you read the articles, seen the posts and watched others social media channels wondering how to travel to fancy five star hotels and get free breakfast included?
Well you came to the right place as I am here to tell you it can be done. In order to travel like these high class travelers, you don’t need to be making six figure salaries, while trying to continue to keep your ‘bougie on a budget,’ mentality.
How can I do this? Well, for starters, traveling on the cheap, or keeping it classy on a budget, may not come easy.
For starters, you need to know how to manage your money, have good credit and pay off your credit cards when they are due. This all sounds so easy, but it can get complicated if you are juggling too much at once.
Once you learn the travel game it isn’t as hard as it sounds as you will become a travel addict, like I have. I love to share the learnings with others.
The mere facts you don’t need to take an entire year to save up for a trip anymore. It’s all about money management and if I can do it, so you can do. Now why on earth would I compare what I make to the next person?
Transparency and integrity is what it’s all about and I am happy to share that I once had a great corporate salary. With that corporate salary and great ‘stable,’ until it wasn’t stable job, came with sacrifice.
Asking for permission to take vacations, is the one that got me most. How can this really be?
I decided to go after my dream of running a travel business as I knew there was another way. Now the ‘other way,’ isn’t always for the weak. Hard work and dedication allows me to live this flexible lifestyle.
I realized it was time to follow my dreams of running a travel business, whilst still being able to travel without having that bougie salary.
I have successfully gone on two European trips and multiple local destinations around the USA for next to nothing. How can this be? Well, meeting others like me that wanted more bang for their buck was what I was after.
Time and time again I am consistently trying to educate others on the hobby known as ‘travel hacking.’ Travel hacking is when you learn to work your way around getting flights, hotels and car rentals for extreme discounts or only paying taxes + miles for flights.
One example as I have shared in a previous article is how I booked my first redemption flight to Paris, France (in 2022) for less than $300. Miles and points for the win!
After this Parisian trip I continued onto earn the Southwest companion pass for two years, a flight to Greece, that also included a 5-star hotel and a 5-star hotel at an IHG property in Romania and so much more.
